This was the only museum open for miles mid-winter in the Beaujolais region.
Occupied by elderly patients and dedicated nuns until the 90s, its original state has been preserved along with an extraordinary apothecary replete with labeled ceramic jars and pill producing paraphernalia. Historic medical instruments and leeches sit cheek by jowl with patient beds, pews and magnificent chapel altar.
