What is there to say ? An extraordinary time imposed on us all by nature that has changed our routines for the foreseeable future. I was in France at the time that lockdown was announced and so, like a lot of Brits, had to head quickly back across the Channel.
I have found the experience difficult, since my photographic creativity - my active search for visual comprehension, my way of seeing - is informed and nourished by my experiences away from home… and has, for the moment, been arrested. Fortunately, creativity can assume many forms, and during this time, where one sense has been dulled a little, my linguistic curiosity has awakened… my monochrome English world of words has an added Francophone palate to mix up and blend. Let’s see what results…
